Late season for mountaineering means the winter snow has melted to uncover all the crevasses, making it often longer to navigate but also usually less guesswork to locate the unseen voids below the surface. This was taken at high camp during a late season mountaineering trip where the sun set perfectly between two peaks creating streaks of pink on the crevasses.
