Glacier Peak Wilderness Ski Tour Engagement
When a couple shyly asks if it’s possible to do a sunrise engagement photoshoot, I say yes! When they ask if I want to drive 3 hours and then take skis up for the sunrise photos, I say doubly yes!! The hardest part of pulling it all together is making sure that the snow and avalanche conditions are primo to minimize risks while we’re having fun. We started way before the crack of dawn and had to add a few extra miles due to many downed trees on the forest road. But thankfully, we were all able to crush the uphill and catch the sunrise right when we peeked over the treeline, giving us amazing views of the surrounding mountains, including Glacier Peak itself! The snow was so soft and perfect, complementing the adventurous couple. While we had to turn around sooner than expected due to impeding avalanche risks, we still got a bit of nice skiing in. It was so fun to watch them enjoy their favorite activity together and what better way to celebrate the mark of a new life together than with photos of them backcountry skiing?? This is definitely a photoshoot to remember for me!
