Hello, I am Cherlyn!

I’m a North Cascades Elopement Photographer and you’re looking at the right person for your North Cascades elopement, whether you’re looking simply for an epic mountain backdrop or if you want to hike or mountaineer to your ceremony location. I grew up in Washington and love everything about the outdoors here, especially the North Cascades! It has a special place in my heart for all the epic views it’s got. After all, it’s nicknamed the American Alps for a good reason!

I love capturing the special moments in the mountains. I love experiencing sunrises and sunsets that make the short nights oh so worth it. I love to see the joy on my couples’ faces when they are in their happy place with their favorite people (or person!). And I am so stoked that you’re checking out my page! What can you do during your North Cascades elopement?

Well the most obvious one: hiking! But there’s plenty more you can do such as:

Where to elope in the North Cascades?

Where do we even start??? Well, it depends on if an activity is important to you or views and the time of year! But here’s my personal short list of places with epic views:

Ross Lake
Eldorado Peak

When to elope in the North Cascades?

This depends on what you want to do! Generally, summer time, July-September is the best time for the sunniest weather. June would still be filled with snow and October, the weather gets much colder and snowier. However, in late September-October, that is peak larch season, coniferous trees that turn a beautiful gold in the fall! If you don’t know what that is, check out my larch blog here. If you’re looking for wildflowers, July is prime season. September is also great for cooler temperatures. For a good portion of winter, the main North Cascades Highway closes due to avalanche activity, but there’s still plenty of mountains to explore if you’re into backcountry skiing or snowshoeing! The best time is spring, around March or April when there’s enough snow on the ground starting from the trailhead, and to maximize the fun snow travel.
