Seattle Elopement Photographer

for the adventurous souls

You’re looking into your beau’s eyes, you’re overflowing with love, the sun is just about to set over fiery horizon, the mountains are glowing in dazzling pink, you glance around at the incredible scenery and it takes your breath away, you’re dressed to the nines and not a drop of sweat could betray the fact it took some work to get here, you’re eating your charcuterie picnic and cheers-ing champagne with your beloved, your soul is set on fire for sharing this moment together, you’re officially married and you just had the best day of your lives. You’re thinking this isn’t real.

But this could be yours, it could be real! Let’s make this happen!

Hello, I am Cherlyn!

I’m a Washington Elopement Photographer and you’re looking at the right person for your Seattle elopement, whether you’re looking simply for an epic mountain backdrop or if you want to hike or mountaineer to your ceremony location. I grew up in Washington and love everything about the outdoors here, especially the North Cascades! It has a special place in my heart for all the epic views it’s got. After all, it’s nicknamed the American Alps for a good reason!

I love capturing the special moments in the mountains. I love experiencing sunrises and sunsets that make the short nights oh so worth it. I love to see the joy on my couples’ faces when they are in their happy place with their favorite people (or person!). And I am so stoked that you’re checking out my page! Elopements are all about you and I’d love to capture your special day when you tie the knot (or even just for an adventure session). No fuss, just you and nature, what would be better than that? And my friends, I can’t wait to meet you and hopefully go on an adventure with you too!

So, what are you waiting for? Want to know more about adventure elopements? Learn more about different sessions you can choose from, check out my photography style, or read more about me.

When to elope in Seattle, Washington?

This depends on what you want to do! But seriously any time!! Generally, summer time, July-September is the best time for the sunniest weather. In some places, there could still be snow on the ground until July, but there’s plenty of other non-snowy places even in winter. In the alpine, it gets much colder and first snow often happens early October, though it may melt away by November. Late September-October is peak larch season, coniferous trees that turn a beautiful gold in the fall! If you don’t know what that is, check out my larch blog here. If you’re looking for wildflowers, July is prime season for most hikes. September is also great for cooler temperatures and gorgeous red fall colors. For a good portion of winter, many highways and forest roads are closed due to avalanche activity, but there’s still plenty of mountains to explore if you’re into backcountry skiing or snowshoeing! The best time for that is spring, around March or April when there’s enough snow on the ground starting from the trailhead and the snow is more stabilized. But if you don’t want to deal with weather, obviously there’s plenty of indoor options from more traditional wedding venues to elopement-style ones like buying out a local high-end restaurant or venues with a view like Snoqualmie Falls Lodge or the Crystal Mountain Gondola and Restaurant.
